So when the weather is nice, and I mean it is spring and I can wear shorts outside nice, how hard is it to work inside when I really want to be out in my garden? the answer to that is very incredibly hard. The best thing to do if I cannot build, dig, prune, and plant is to pretend I am fishing, which also has an extreme high ranking in positive things to do in avoidance of working in the shop. Now, I am an artist and I love what I do with my steel toed books and leathers on but I also and equally like to not do that. It is a fragile balance, like a writers block, where the most important thing I can do, is not in fact to do, but to not do. Sounds a little Dr. Suess-ish but it is true, to not do is the space where your brain is gathering all the sights and sounds in weird convoluted files that will be stored for instant recognition of extremely relevant information to be pulled at the exact moment when you need it in the middle of creating.
