A major shop clean up, floor sweep and yes, even a few days off this week too! Enjoyed and worked in the garden and caught up outside after my whirlwind of shows and production all spring and summer. I needed to replenish my metal frog stock so started with cutting out an assorted collection of bodies with the plasma cutter using of pipes and scrap metal. Legs are welded together from bolts, screws, round bar and rebar and arranged in hopefully believable and lifelike configurations, fingers and toes are cut to size from, again, scrap and round bar, eye balls are the finishing touch then all is welded to the bodies. A piece of scrap metal is welded and signed on the bottom of the frog to give it some depth from the side and a nice finish.
My vegetable garden has been producing well after the slow cold start, beans are over 8 feet tall, I probably have 20 pounds of grapes on an un pruned, crazy wild grape vine and apples fall every day bigger than your fist. I even have some lettuce that was transplanted in the shade that has been ready to consume for the last week, tomatoes are red, potatoes are ready to dig and the heat has stopped the grass growing to allow me time to deal with the produce.
