    Metal pinchers that open and close, arms that articulate and ball bearing eyeballs that seem to watch you walk by. All very realistic yet Toy Storyish and unsettling at the same time. Rising from out of the bins of metal scrap, bars and bolts inching to the bench, welded and bent, manipulated with muscle and heat, cut with fire yet with origins coming from the sea. The great thing about Victoria is I can jump in the car and be at the beach in 10 minuets and see both live and washed up versions of my creations. I'll take them down to the beach for a photos shoot in situ.
   The pruners on the big crab and the amazing weather on the weekend got me outside in the sun to start pruning my fruit trees, where I watched the birds choosing birdhouses and flying to and fro with long ungainly pieces of dried grasses, in this part of Canada spring is here!
