A lot of work created this week getting ready for the big Anacortes Arts festival August 1,2,3. Lots of unique one of a kind new metal art work for the home and garden by Metal Mermaid Welding. Washingtons biggest Art Event of the year where you can buy artwork never seen before, get it before it is gone!

   A lot of very creative metal coming out of the shop this week, with a main focus on metal mermaids, large life size, small, rusty, and a few ocean theme pieces both for the wall and free standing. On one really hot day I loaded up the car and went to Island View beach for a mermaid photo shoot, beautiful sand and blue skies. When it is too hot to work in the shop going to the beach for work is a great option for the self employed.

   Metal crow arches starting at $165 and up. All are one of a kind and hand done with glass leaves or branches with leaves and glass beads in their beak. The large 3D crow is $375 and made from tools, rebar chrome, stainless pieces and is free standing. He is massive at over 2 1/2 feet tall and looked good in the beach shots. He will sell fast!

   A metal creature week last week. Metal vulture sculptures, one perched on an eerily realistic looking food source. A lot of fun are the metal frog sculptures, stretching, crawling, crouched in a variety of sizes and shapes. Also new, a watering can full of a variety of small metal bug stakes for the garden.
