2 weeks until Christmas

   Metal Mermaid has done the last Christmas show so if anyone needs Christmas gifts  please call or e-mail for a  studio tour.
   The last show before Christmas for Metal Mermaid Welding last Thursday at the Victoria Art gallery went very well, a beautiful decorated venue with artisans, musicians and carolers.  Kudos to the Victoria Art Gallery for a well organized first year 'Makers Market' event .
   Many new pieces have been created in the last 2 weeks, frogs, stakes, clocks and a huge amount of large life size mermaids, photos which will be included next week. It is a hugely busy time to try and be creative but that comes of necessity and a variety of spontaneous pieces came out of the shop. My favourite is the recycled spinning salmon which are welded on to a tiny bearing and post and will rotate at the touch of a finger.
   The Christmas lights are up outside, tree is up inside covered with birds, my favourite sparkly things  are sprinkled around and the fireplace is glowing orange around the clock.  enjoy the photos1
